Title: Dot vs Dot
2.
Topic: How websites
ending in .com differ from websites ending in .org
3.
Personal
Connections:
I picked this topic because I was interested why some websites have a .com
ending and others have an .org ending. What qualifications are needed to get
these endings?
4.
Audience: Everyone uses
the internet and it might be interesting to see how these different websites
differ by just their URL address. People use the internet every day and often
don’t even notice that the URL address make the website a different
classification.
5.
Purpose: I would like to
make people think every time they see a different ending to the URL and wonder
why it is different. What makes these websites have that different ending.
6.

Categories:
.com .org .edu .gov
8.
Examples: Give different
examples of each website and show why they have that TLP or top level domain or
the dot com ending. Another example I would use would be to show what these
abbreviations mean anything more. Does .com mean anything more than just a TLP.
9.
Techniques:
i.
Lists: explain each TLP and why there are used.
ii.
Pictures, give a visual
iii.
Definition define the dictionary definition of each
TLP
iv.
Examples of each category

Problems: If my paper is all technology it might possibly bore some people
enough where they stop reading it. This paper can be dry unless humor is added
in a good way. People like Dave might not understand any of this technological
talk.
